Grisham family papers, 1825-1887.

The collection consists of microfilm copy of correspondence (1825-1887) written by members of the Grisham, Brown, Galt, Watts, and Collins families and includes: portions of letters written by Elizabeth McRae Smith to William (Uncle Billy) Bradford, relatives of the Grisham-Watts families; letters (1872-1887) written by Elizabeth Collins, daughter of William Grisham, to her friend, Arminda Wood (Mrs. Willis Wood), apparently a former family slave. The collection also includes photocopies of two printed items: "To the People of Cherokee County, Georgia," signed by John W. Lewis, Eli McConnell, Samuel Tate, and J.P. Brooke [1850] and "A Song for the Cherokee Legion" written by C.M. McClure, at Camp Rusk, 1864.
